New hair miracle product: bull semen

An upmarket hairdresser's in London's Knightsbridge area is offering a new treatment for dry hair and split ends: organic Angus bull semen.

The 45-minute intense conditioning treatment using the thoroughbred sperm fresh from a farm in Cheshire, provides much needed protein to dry, coarse hair.

The hairdresser, Hari's, in Brompton Road, have combined the semen with the root of protein-rich plant Katera, and are offering the ultimate shine for £55 a shot.

Owner Hari Salem, said it has been a painstaking journey to find the new treatment, involving trials with wild New Zealand avocados and truffle oil.

"I looked and looked for a protein-rich offering and carried out a lot of experiments, but in the end the bull sperm was the winner. It really works. Admittedly it is a very unusual treatment, but the sperm is very nourishing because it is full of protein. The treatment is applied to hair once it has been shampooed and massaged in. Then the client is put under the steamer so the treatment penetrates their hair before being blow-dried so they can see it's full effect. The semen is refrigerated before use and doesn't smell, just leaves you hair looking wonderful - soft, shiny and thick."
