Robert Mapplethorpe retrospective in Edinburgh

Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989) became famous in the 1970s and 1980s for his photographs of male and female nudes and for his depictions of gay, sado-masochistic sex. I always had a soft spot for his 1980 photography called Man in Polyester Suit. Very nice suit indeed!

An exhibition dedicated to Robert Mapplethorpe has just opened at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh. Runs until 5 November
